Use a pillow to keep your foot and ankle elevated. It’s also important not to pop any blisters because these act as barriers to any bacteria. Soaking in hot water is not recommended as it can cause increased blood flow and greater swelling.
Even if you can still move your foot and toes that doesn’t mean it’s not a serious injury. An x-ray may be necessary to reveal the exact extent of the damage.
