Summer Exercises for Your Feet

Summer Exercises for Your Feet

The cold weather is gone and summer is finally here. That means people are getting outside to enjoy a number of outdoor activities. Doctors always recommend various exercises and stretches to keep your limbs fresh and limber, but this can equally apply to your feet as well. Let’s take a look at some simple exercises you can do to keep your feet in great shape this summer.

The following exercises can help improve the range of motion in your feet, but before you attempt any of these it’s important to consult an experienced podiatrist, especially if you’re experiencing any foot pain, or suffer from diabetes or arthritis.

TOE CURLS

This exercise can strengthen the muscles in your toes and feet. You can also put a heavy object on the towel to add weight. Repeat this exercise several times with each foot.

PICK UP A MARBLE WITH YOUR TOES

Repeat this with several marbles daily to straighten the muscles in your toes and feet.

TENNIS BALL ROLL

This will massage your foot and help blood circulation.
